INDIANAPOLIS, IN- JANUARY 10, 2020- Todd Carlile, owner of TwoC racing along with driver Wayne Johnson are proud to announce they will be competing full-time with the World of Outlaws (WoO) in 2020. This will be Johnson’s first full-time on the tour. For the last 10 years, Johnson has been competing mainly with the ASCS in a 360 and running a handful of 410 races as well. “We stepped away from ASCS 360 racing and went and raced with the WoO about half of the year last year and realized that if we want to be the best and build the team up for the future, the WoO tour is where we need to be,” Johnson said. Car owner Todd Carlile stated, “We have been wanting to go full time racing with the World of Outlaws and we ultimately decided that now was the right opportunity.”
Johnson and Carlile have known one another for over 25 years. Coming off an injury in 2010, Johnson spoke to Todd and his wife Kelly about wanting to start a team, and they joined forces in 2012. In 2016 Carlile took over as the car owner and Johnson became solely just a driver again.
Johnson and the TwoC team will be competing for the 2020 Rookie of the Year honors with the World of Outlaws. “I decided if I don’t do this now, I’ll regret that I never did,” Johnson said of running with the WoO. “This last year I’ve really focused on my health and feel like I’m probably in the best shape of my life at 48 and ready to take on the challenge.”
Johnson and TwoC Racing would like to thank the sponsors who have also helped make this season possible: Outlaw Wings, Select Coatings, Total Trucking, TLC Express Car Wash, Weld Wheels, Schoenfeld Headers, Rod End Supply, Astro Titanium, Schure Built Suspensions, Hoosier Tire, Simpson Race Products, Maxim Racing Inc., Fisher Racing Engines, Car & Fleet Parts, Canyon Apparel.
In addition, they are currently interviewing for the crew chief position. The car chief is Conner Nelson and the mechanic is Kenny Nolan.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN- JANUARY 8, 2020- RAMS Racing is proud to announce they will be supporting Veterans Community Project (VCP) for the 2020 season beginning at the Chili Bowl Nationals. VCP is a group of combat veterans in Kansas City, Missouri who refuse to let any Veteran fall through the cracks. From providing housing to offering walk-in support services, they are there for everyone who took the oath to serve America.
A few years ago, team owner Rick Young saw a video on Facebook about this community of tiny homes for Veterans in Kansas City and thought it was such a fantastic idea. A few days later he found out Veterans Community Project was in its infancy. At the time he was working at State Street Bank and Trust in Kansas City, Missouri so using their corporate philanthropy group and one of their direct reports they forged a partnership with VCP and funded a home. Young has since left State Street, but he and his wife still support VCP. “I wish I would have thought to have them on our race cars a while ago,” said Young. “We enjoy great privilege being able to race on a national stage. Using that stage to further the mission of a group so dedicated to helping our veterans is the least we can do.”
Drivers Clinton Boyles and Justin Grant will be piloting the VCP midgets for RAMS Racing starting at the Chili Bowl Nationals. “I’m super excited to have Veterans Community Project partner with myself and our race team starting at the Chili Bowl,” Boyles said. “To be able to promote something as special as VCP is an honor to me. VCP is based about 20 minutes from where I grew up so I think it means a little extra knowing that I’m not only raising awareness to help homeless Veterans across the county but also in my own community.” Justin Grant went on to add, “Having driven for RAMS Racing for a while now, it’s so humbling to see how much they want to give back. Being able to gain more recognition to the Veterans Community Project through the racing community will be incredible. I look forward to learning more about the group and helping in anyway I can.”
Brian Brown will also adorn the VCP logo on his 410 sprint car for the 2020 season where he will run 80 races in 20 states. “Rick Young has been a good friend of mine for a while and a part of our race team. We are excited to have the Veterans Community Project on our car this year. It’s such a cool deal for the veterans who have come on harder times later in life. I look forward to bringing more brand awareness for such a great cause,” Brown stated.
A big thank you to all our partners for making this possible: NOS Energy, Rockwell Security, and new to the team in 2020 Les Bourgeois Vineyards.
