The Queens Contest at the Knoxville Nationals!

This year, I was asked to be a judge for the Queens contest! I was so pumped, I had to think of a few questions to ask all the girls that were taking part in the contest. This was going to be fun. I also found out that Donny Schatz, and Ron Shaver(my, also Donny's motor builder) were fellow judges, so I was even more excited. Tuesday morning we all gathered for a luncheon to meet and get to know all the girls participating in the contest. We ate lunch, then headed over to the main office for one on one time with each contestant, and all us judges. This was when we could ask them questions to get to know them better. After this we had a break until the contest started around 7. We all were assigned a number so when the contestants came out they drew a number and whose ever number they drew we asked them a question. I only got to ask one question, so as a joke I asked the girl that drew my number "who is your favorite sprint car driver from ND?" I was totally kidding, but she did say me;) Sorry Donny!! LOL! While the scorers were adding up all the points, Tony asked to do a lil interview with me. It was a lot of fun to get to talk in front of everyone. Ok time to announce the winner!!! Miss Congeniality was Amie Miller, Second runner up was Kristin Plath, first runner up was Cassie Zomer, and the winner was Summer Sistad. All the girls were really great, and I had a lot of fun getting to know all of them!
