Sedalia... Patience and Persistence Does Pay Off...

Hey everyone, well last night I was racing in Sedalia with the WOW, also there was the WoO, and a celebrity race which included the likes of Donny Schatz(filling in for Tony Stewart), Gary Scelzi, Kasey Kahne(who also raced with the WOW) and Clint Boyer! I got to meet Clint Boyer and Gary Scelzi for the first time last night. Clint ran second in the Celebrity race, but he was right on Donny, it was a good race. Look for him and Gary Scelzi wearing my new racing t-shirt, they both stopped by to say hello and purchased a new t-shirt!! Had fun talking with both of them, they are really cool guys!

Well once again Kenny drew and the take him to Vegas comment, might have to take that one back.. He drew a 49! That would be fine with any other series, but the WOW doesn't do passing points, its just top 4 make it. I started last, 9th in my heat and passed 2 cars to make it up to 7th. I was very disappointed, it was a ruff start and on a track the size of Sedalia its hard to make passes when we all get strung out, especially in only 8 laps! In the B main I started 6th place, they only took the top 2 cars so pressure was on... I was in 4th on the start coming out of turn 2. I was upset knowing that it would be hard to pass now, but I was very patient and persistent. After a few laps I passed for 3rd and then was working on second. He had a bit of a lead but I was driving very hard, I wanted it so bad and after which seemed like forever(thought I was going to run out of laps) I made the pass!! Yes 2nd place! I made it to the A main! In the A main I started 19th, in the first 5 laps or so I just cruised the bottom and passed a few cars. On lap 7 there was a red flag, I had gotten passed by about 2 cars on the top so I moved my wing back. After the red, I started moving anywhere I could go to pass some cars, and it paid off... I went high, the middle, and the bottom my car worked just about everywhere. I ended up with an 8th place finish. Patience and persistence definitely paid off! Right now we are actually at the car wash and Kenny is working on the motor. Mom and I cleaned the trailer and I did all my other duties with the car. Tonight we are heading up towards Cameron, MO to race at 36 Raceway for the Bud Shootout. Well hopefully anyway there is and 80% chance for rain today through tomorrow, surprise surprise:( Then Saturday look for me back at the Knoxville Raceway.
